Sanctuary Park Cemetery was established in 1927, and in 1977 amalgamated with Riverside Cemetery and Westside Cemeteries. Sanctuary Park Cemetery offers a wide range of disposition alternatives from traditional ground burial to various cremation options.
Within Sanctuary Park lies a three acre veterans section where every year people gather to honour their fallen comrades and heroes. One of Sanctuary Park’s most famous residents is Corporal Frederick George Topham, Victoria Cross recipient, whose grave was decorated with a new historical plaque on March 25th, 2007.
