Serving Etobicoke and the surrounding community, Riverside Cemetery and Crematorium was established in 1892. 120 years later Riverside still provides a variety of disposition options from traditional ground burial to the latest cremation options. Riverside also offers a wide variety of memorialization options including upright monuments, flat markers and memorial benches. Riverside’s Crematorium was completed in 1965 and was one of the first crematoriums in Toronto.
As the trend towards cremation continues to increase the families of Etobicoke can continue to look to Riverside for answers to questions they may have surrounding cremation. Riverside’s chapel opened at the same time as the crematorium. It is a peaceful place where many people visit for quiet reflection.
